The images were taken of small “fiber nodules” growing directly from the skin. They look like small gray/black fuzz surrounded by skin.
After you have placed them on the slide, it is not possible to cover them with a cover glass as they cannot be “flattened”. The only thing you will hear is the sound of glass crunching.

I can only speculate why they don't grow here in a single form, but in clumps. At the same time, the skin of those affected reacted with massive new skin and scaling.
However, we are always dealing with a lattice structure, which is an important geometric basis for nanotechnology.
